Janet has been a court transcriptionist since 1994. She began her career as court transcriptionist working from home while she was raising her three children. In 2004 she began her court reporting career as a court monitor in the Ontario Court of Justice at the A. Grenville and William Davis Courthouse in Brampton. In 2006 she became a steno mask reporter in the Superior Court of Justice.
Janet obtained a law clerks certificate in 2001 and has taken courses in Criminal Foundations. Prior to becoming a court transcriptionist, she was an office manager at the law firm of Forbes and Forbes in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Upon returning to Canada, she was employed at the law firm of McMillan Binch in Mississauga. Janet's many years of experience and legal background provide her with an in depth understanding of both criminal and civil law. Prior to her employment with the Ministry of the Attorney General, she worked for many years at Bell Canada in a secretarial and administrative assistant capacity.
Janet is an extremely conscientious and detail oriented person who takes great pride in the quality and accuracy of her transcripts. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, and hiking and cycling with her husband.
